  • Pets: Pets are known to alleviate stress; however, they can also cause a lot of anxiety. If a pet walks all over a person, spreads litter at home or snores when it sleeps, it can cause anxiety. Therefore, one must either have a designated family member as a caretaker for a pet at home or should divide the chores related to it. One should also strive to have a separate sleeping room if the things mentioned above cause anxiety.
  • Ex’s belongings: When a relationship is over, it is best to get rid of all the belongings of the ex as their stuff may cause anxiety and even depression. Clothes, coffee mugs, and a toothbrush are some of the things that might be scattered at home. Though a person might see them regularly, they might not register their impact on their mental health. Most of the time. an ex’s stuff acts as a reminder of a painful or a traumatic relationship causing anxiety.
